Born and raised in Halifax, Nova Scotia, Thomas completed his Bachelor of Commerce in Finance at St. Mary’s University. Afterwards, he pursued his Juris Doctorate at Bond University in Australia, graduating in 2017.
Upon returning to Canada, Thomas settled in Toronto, Ontario, where he completed his articling at a boutique personal injury law firm. His practice covered various aspects of personal injury, including disability benefits, slip/trip and falls, and motor vehicle accidents. Thomas was called to the bar in 2020 and later joined JEWELL RADIMISIS JORGE LL.P in 2023.
Beyond his legal practice, Thomas is a dedicated advocate for parity, emphasizing the Impact of Race and Cultural Assessments (IRCAs). He engages in bringing awareness to these reports that provide Judges with insights into how racism, poverty, and discrimination may have influenced the interactions of Black or racialized individuals within the justice system. This underscores his commitment to addressing systemic issues and promoting fair and equitable treatment within the legal framework.
In his leisure time, Thomas remains active by playing basketball and going on hikes with his dog.
He is fluent in French.
