Winter Holiday Season

This holiday season will be a very different feeling for many Ontarians. This Christmas parishioners will be forced to stay indoors – no family gatherings.

Premier Doug Ford is urging Ontarians to keep within their own immediate families and homes this holiday season.

The Catholic Church has sought ways to ensure that the Catholic population may continue to partake in the religious ceremonies through technology. Also, many Ontario Churches are providing tickets to mass to control the number of persons attending mass this year.

Many parts of Ontario remain in lockdown at the present time. With deaths and cases continuing to increase, it is very important that Ontarians remain cognizant of the ongoing health crisis.

Ontario schools will not have an extended winter break.

Premier Ford has also urged families celebrating Hanukkah this upcoming weekend to do so with the family they live with and are currently in lockdown with.

Although this holiday season tends to create foot traffic in shopping centers and retail stores, it is essential that Canadians remember that the COVID-19 is still an ongoing and increasing issue.
